Welcome to Silver Creek Cottage
This magical A-Frame cottage is nestled on 2 beautiful acres in the
Nantahala Gorge, just 2 miles from the nationally acclaimed Nantahala Outdoor Center and
the Appalachian Trail. Along with the outdoor adventure opportunities waiting just down
the road, the cottage also offers all the privacy, quiet and serene beauty you could ask
for! A creek borders the property, complete with mini-waterfalls which can be heard from
the front porch. Beautiful rock walls serve as the backdrop to the cottage and flowering
perennials fill the rock wall flower beds giving the home and land an old-fashioned
mountain touch.
Behind the cottage is a full acre of forest rising up a lovely ridge,
complete with a wonderful trail that leads from just beside the cottage up into the
woods. As you rise in elevation along the hiking trail, views of the surrounding
mountains and "hollow" are visible.
The cottage has been decorated with a
respect for the heritage of Appalachian culture, including farm antiques and mountain
made art and pottery, while also offering the best of comforts in bed and bath. High
count sheets and plush towels give a hint of a spa luxury to this charming white-water
adventure retreat.
The area has a unique selection of wonderful restaurants including; Relia's Garden (which is the only four-star restaurant located on
the Appalachian Trail), and River's End Restaurant (a more casual place where you can dine
over the river while watching the rafters and kayakers go by). There's also the Nantahala
Village a little farther down the road - which is an old lodge that has been restored to
delight dinners with amazingly good food!
Whether you are looking for water fun, a train
ride, hiking, antiquing, shopping or just relaxing in the mountains, Silver Creek Cottage
has it all!

Nantahala Gorge is the premier area in the Great Smokey Mountains for many outdoor
activities including; hiking, white water rafting and kayaking, mountain biking, and
fishing.
